About Shipping Protection
When your order leaves our hands it begins its journey into the world.
Sometimes things get chaotic - and that’s where Shipping Protection comes in.
Think of it as a protection spell for your parcel. It helps safeguard your order from the rare but real mischief of lost or stolen packages once they’re in transit.
🪄 What This Protection Covers
If you’ve added Shipping Protection to your order, your package is protected in the event of:
- A package going missing in transit (confirmed by the carrier)
- A package marked “delivered” but never found at its destination
If something like this happens, we’ll step in to help make it right — either by replacing your order or offering an appropriate resolution.
🌙 What This Protection Does Not Cover
Even magic has its limits. Shipping Protection does not apply to:
- Incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses entered at checkout
- Packages that are refused or left unclaimed
- Carrier delays, customs processing, or weather-related interruptions while your order is still moving through the system
- Cosmetic damage to outer packaging that does not affect the items inside (unless otherwise stated in our damage policy)
🔮 How to Begin a Claim
If your parcel seems to have vanished into the void or never arrived:
- Reach out to us at hello@playdatewiththeuniverse.com within 7–14 days of your expected delivery date
- Include your order number and a short note about what happened
- We’ll connect with the carrier to investigate
- Once confirmed, we’ll work with you on a replacement or store credit, depending on availability
🌌 A Few Important Things to Note
- Shipping Protection must be added at checkout — it cannot be applied after your order has already begun its journey
- If Shipping Protection isn’t selected, we’re unable to cover packages that are lost, damaged or stolen once they’ve been handed over to the carrier
- Every order is packed with the utmost care & intention, Shipping Protection adds an extra layer of cosmic backup
