Exchanges + Store Credit Policy
Playdate with the Universe has an Exchange + Store Credit Only Policy.
Because products are packaged in such a way that they cannot be resold once opened, we do not offer refunds to the original payment method for change-of-mind purchases.
If something arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please reach out so we can help make it right with an exchange, replacement, store credit, or alternative solution.
Eligible Exchanges + Store Credit
You may request an exchange or store credit within 14 days of delivery.
To be eligible, items must be:
- Unused, unopened, and in their original condition
- Returned with all original packaging
- Approved by us before being sent back
Tarot decks must be unopened, unused, and still sealed in their original packaging to qualify for an exchange or store credit. Once a tarot deck has been opened, it cannot be returned or exchanged unless it arrived damaged, defective, missing cards, or incorrect.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order when it arrives. If your item is damaged, defective, missing something, or you received the wrong item, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue.
If approved, we will offer a replacement, exchange, store credit, or another solution depending on the situation.
Natural Variations
Some of our products include natural materials, crystals, stones, or handmade elements. Small variations in color, shape, texture, surface marks, or size are part of what makes these pieces unique and are not considered defects.
Final Sale Items
Opened tarot decks, gift cards, digital products, downloadable items, and final sale items are not eligible for exchange or store credit unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.
Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for approved exchanges or store credit requests. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
If we made a mistake or your item arrived damaged or defective, we will help cover the cost of making it right.
How to Start an Exchange or Store Credit Request
To start a request, please email us at returns@playdatewiththeuniverse.com with your order number and a brief note about the issue.
Please do not send items back without contacting us first. Items returned without prior approval may not be accepted.
We reserve the right to refuse exchanges or store credit for items that do not meet the conditions above.
EU / EEA Customers: Right of Withdrawal
If your order is being shipped to a country in the European Union or European Economic Area, you may have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, please contact us at returns@playdatewiththeuniverse.com within 14 days of receiving your order and clearly state that you wish to withdraw from your purchase.
After notifying us, you must return the item to us within 14 days. Returned items should be sent back in their original condition, with all original packaging where possible.
Customers are responsible for the direct cost of return shipping unless otherwise required by law or unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect.
Once we receive the returned goods, or once you provide proof that the goods have been sent back, we will process any required refund to your original payment method within 14 days. We may deduct for any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the item.
Original standard shipping costs will be refunded where required by law. If you selected a more expensive shipping method than our standard option, the additional shipping cost may not be refundable.
This EU / EEA right of withdrawal does not apply to items that are exempt under applicable law, including but not limited to clearly personalized or custom-made goods, certain digital products once accessed or downloaded with your prior consent, and other legally exempt items.
